April, Meeting, AUGUST ZIMMERMAN lyrics @ Lana Del Rey. notes – recycled out of love words - 740ish
In the Land of Gods and Monsters I was an Angel
A lot has happened in the passing years since Ravenous had opened and the group had stopped their world touring. April became their manager at Ravenous, more people joined their already large family, including April’s own daughter, Angelica. There was just a lot to process as well as the club’s bills that needed to be paid, if they wanted to keep the lights on and more people attracted in coming to their establishment. The club almost hit rock bottom because the group was separated, from what April has heard of it was about some girl Killian used to hang around with that distracted him from his duties. Now, April has yet to talk to Killian about the entire thing, hell she hasn’t had much clarity on the entire thing, especially when they had a split. All of that happened when she was away at the Tibetan mountains with Angelica working on her powers, making sure that she was able to center herself and control them, so April already had enough on her plate.
The issues between them seem to have already mended, but at the same time if it was such a big fight, then all of the wounds probably aren’t fully healed. April would love to get to the bottom of things between the brothers, at least what have used to be a problem because she would hate to be the only one not knowing what had happened. Especially since they are partners on a business level there has to be some level of trust and that everyone should be on the same page. April loves the guys, she really does, though business and friendship never mixes well, no matter how strong the relationship was, you have to be a beast if you want it to succeed. Now it’s very much possible to be close friends and run a business together, but there has to be a difference between the two worlds because they are different.
Business was the lasting April wanted to think about when she came back from Tibet with Angelica, though the only reason why they came back was to bury April’s dear friend Dimitria Levine. Although, Angelica actually was able to revive Dimitria and bring her soul back to her body, even when it was already departed, or at least was really close in going. Angel doing that really opened April’s eyes to the extent of her powers, she was able to tap in April’s magic and utilize it as her own, so it was safe to say April was proud of her daughter as well as mystified. April was beyond happy to have Dimitria back into her life again, and her coming back has really kept April from leaving with Angel again, then was constantly calling or texting Dimi to see if she was alright. Before opening hours for Ravenous, April was already in her office, she keeps the front door closed, but the back door entrance was always unlocked for the crew to walk in. Right now, April was in her office with a pen in hand as she was signing papers soon she was going to go for the bills that need to be paid, though she also needs to talk to August, Max, Killian, and Lochlan before she does that. Adults need to have adult conversations. Every day, she brings in her pet cat, she named Patience, who was a black cat with green eyes and black slit pupils. April loves patience and takes her to work every day, before leaving to take her home, before the club opens later that night. She usually brings Patience because she would be by herself in her office and that’s where she usually lounges on the couch, if not under, or lays on top of shelves. April picks up her head with a tired look in her eyes as she hears the constant meows from Patience, causing her to drop her pen and look at the black cat,” Whats wrong kitty? Mommy is tired….” April said as she looked back towards all the paper work,” Where are the guys when I need them…” April said before looking at her phone to see if she has any texts from anyone.

i don't believe in demons Or witches that can fly. I don't believe in dragons I think they're all a lie Several days, possibly even weeks, had passed since Gus had returned to Ravenous. He had no patience for Killian or Lochlan these days, and had a hairpin trigger for all things that aggravated him. This was not normal for August- he had always been such an easy breezey, cool guy, but since Ravenous went under attack, Dimitria dying and then being resurrected and finally Holly falling under a coma, Gus had finally reached his limit. It didn't help that most of the blame for what had happened her placed on himself- if only he'd been faster, acted more rationally.... he had failed his friends and his girlfriend and killed nearly one hundred people in the process. Needless to say it wasn't a good time for the Shaman.
If there was any light in the ceaseless darkness, it was his sister, April, and his niece. Gus was thankful that in a time of turmoil they had returned to the states, though it was clear to him that Angelica still needed much guidance with her abilities, much of the proof being in her resurrecting Dimitria. Shamans were forbidden to raise demons except under the most dire of circumstances- even atronachs were a more preferred summoned being than demons since their roaming was based on a very temporary binding. The rules within Shamanism were absolute- they weren't guidelines or even a question of morals, they were physical limitations placed on the Shamans, nature's way of ensuring that no Shaman would or even could be turned evil. Neither August nor April would have been able to raise Dimitria from the dead, but since Angelica was no Shaman, she was bound by no such rules, and due to her mother's sadness, she'd inadvertently summoned the blacked soul of Dimitria Levine. And as proud and grateful was of that act, it made him slightly weary of April's daughter and all that she could do... power jumpers were immeasurably powerful and Angelica's demonic half meant that that power could be used for any purpose, good or evil. Still, as much as he was wary of it all, he trusted April to guide her correctly, and the two seemed to be handling themselves very well. Eventually August would also help train Angelica, but currently he was in no position or mental capacity to do so.
Returning to Ravenous was not something Gus did lightly. He did so during the day when he knew Lochlan wouldn't be able to arrive there and when Killian was unlikely to show yet. Dimitria roamed freely- she always had even when she was a vampire, but he still doubted she'd be there. Gus had returned to pick up his bass, having no intention on playing for the band again, either in the near or far future. The danger Killian had placed them all in, and then the resulting damage because of it, was not something August could see around. That, in conjunction with the fact that every time Gus looked at Killian, all he saw was his own failures and atrocities that had occurred that night, was enough to drive Gus away. Hell, he would have even left San Francisco if it weren't for Holly's current condition. She and she alone kept him there, bound into his living hell, praying every day for her to return to him. She was stuck in some limbo, some other world that August could not access no matter what spell or other magic he tried to cast. Holly's astral projections were very different from his own, and she was so deeply talented that he couldn't even begin to try and adapt to her level. Holly's mind and soul had traveled to far off dimensions, lost in some other plane. Gus was stuck in the land of the living, far away from her.
He heard the meows of April's cat as he passed by her office, and after a moment of hesitation, he cracked open the door. In response to her rhetorical question that he'd only barely caught, Gus replied, "Usually at home. Clubs function at night, and monsters don't come out during the day." The note of bitterness was in his voice as he spoke, though he tried to iron it out. He approached her desk and extended his hand for April's cat to rub against his fingers. After a pause he said, "Tria texted last night. I think if she didn't have so much respect for you, she'd probably threaten you'd be on the receiving end of her threats instead of me. Anyways, she said of you ask her if she's okay one more time this week that she'll be removing an unspecified number of my toes." A small smirk crept on the very edge of his lips when he added, "Honestly I'm not sure if she's for real or not... even before she was a demon it was hard to read her sarcasm." His smile dropped and he looked at her with very old, very tired and very sad eyes, asking, "Do you need help with anything before I head out?" ||TAG:APRIL ZIMMERMAN || ||WORD COUNT: 846||||NOTES:sorry for the insane wait|| TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @adoxography
